I can see at least three factors contributing to the excessive and often terrifying speeds that drivers reach coming eastbound on Old Cedar Lane: 1. Topography - the long downhill. 2. Cut-through traffic (trying to circumnavigate the back-ups on Parmer. This is now exacerbated by the new Foxfield neighborhood development, which opens up Old Cedar Lane to Metric and even MoPac.) 3. The wide width of Old Cedar Lane.
