Interlachen Dr recently received a sealcoat treatment, which involves applying a thin layer of asphalt and water followed by a layer of small gravel. This process helps seal the existing pavement and improve skid resistance. The curing process typically takes 4-6 weeks, allowing the gravel to fully settle into the asphalt. This treatment does not require any additional sealant. During this time, drivers are encouraged to reduce speed and avoid sudden turns to help keep the gravel in place. Sweepers are sent 24-48 hours after the sealcoat is applied to remove loose gravel. If excessive gravel remains after that period, please submit a service request through 311 so a sweeper can be sent out.
